p.s. This wasn’t Skip Hire Portsmouth !
He should have hired a skip!
In January 2009, a man in Leeds had to pay a £38,000 bill. This was the cost to clean up his household rubbish which was attracting rats. It took 17 skips to haul away the junk!!!
Anthony Cockerham obstructed council contractors who came to deal with a rat infestation at his home following complaints from neighbours, Leeds County Court was told.
Officers were forced to resort to a legal order to gain entry and then discovered his house was in such a state it was deemed a public health risk.
Cockerham was ordered to pay the city council’s £38,000 bill for clearing out the property in the Oakwood area of Leeds.
The 61-year-old also faces legal fees which could top £40,000.
Hiring a skip from time to time would have been so much cheaper!
